The Sunday Film Series at Temple Habonim concludes with “Rabin in His Own Words” on May 22. This is the dramatic life story of Yitzhak Rabin 20 years after his assassination, told entirely in Rabin’s own voice.

“Rabin In His Own Words” brings the man back to life, if only momentarily. Through a rare combination of archival footage, home movies and private letters, Rabin’s personal and professional dramas unfold before the viewers’ eyes. The film follows Rabin’s life from early childhood until the horrific moment when his political career and life were suddenly brought to an end.

Directed by Erez Laufer, “Rabin In His Own Words” was the winner of the Best Documentary at the Haifa International Film Festival in 2015 and was released nationally in the United States on May 6. This is its first showing in New England.

The screening, which begins at 3 p.m., is free and open to the public Popcorn is included. Temple Habonim at 165 New Meadow Road, Barrington.
