WARWICK, R.I. – Harriet Landesberg of Tamarisk Assisted Living died May 25 at Kent County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leo Landesberg. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Samuel and Ida (Roth) Glazer, she had lived in Warwick for 13 years, previously living in Cranston.
Although she did not have the opportunity to be Bat Mitzvah as a young girl, she became one at age 72. Harriet was a member of Temple Torat Yisrael.
She was the mother of Melvin Landesberg and his wife, Arlene, of Delray Beach, Florida, and the late Adele Landesberg. She was the sister of the late Morris Glazer, Betty Levy, Sadie, David, and Sydney Glazer. The grandmother of Karen Steinfeld and her husband David, Jill Boyle and her husband Vincent and Ilise Samolyk and her husband John. She was the great-grandmother of Michael, Jordan, Bryanna, Aliyah and Joshua.
