Selling your house?

Posted

If you are considering selling your home, now is a great time to prepare your house to stand out during the busy fall market.  Follow as many of these tips as possible to have your home looking its best!  But don’t worry if you are unable to accomplish all of these. Concentrating on even a few of these items will be sure to give your property a selling advantage.

1. Declutter your living area.

2. Depersonalize your home by removing such items as personal photos and artwork.

3. Clean and organize the inside of closets and cabinets.

4. Rearrange furniture so your house has a staged and move-in ready look.

5. Put away valuables.

6. Paint the interior in neutral colors.

7. Address any existing problems: leaky pipes, missing or cracked tiles, or scuffs on paint.

8. Improve curb appeal: power wash, paint exterior, keep grass cut, add plants or flowers.

9. Have a showing plan. Put dishes away, empty trash, make the beds, vacuum, remove pets if possible.

10. And, of course, find a realtor who meets your needs. Don’t be afraid to talk to several people.
