NEW YORK (JTA) — Ruth Bader Ginsburg will publish her first book since becoming a Supreme Court justice in 1993 — and it will include her thoughts on being Jewish.

The New York-based publisher Simon & Schuster announced March 10 that Ginsburg’s “In My Own Words” will be available in hardcover, ebook and audiobook forms in January.

A selection of writings and speeches by Ginsburg, who turned 83 March 15, the new book addresses everything from Jewish identity to gender equality to the workings of the Supreme Court, according to Simon & Schuster.

Ginsburg and her authorized biographers, Mary Hartnett and Wendy W. Williams, are selecting the writings. Ginsburg will write an introduction.

Simon & Schuster will also publish Ginsburg’s authorized biography, but no publication date has been announced.

Ginsburg is the second woman to have been appointed to the Supreme Court.
