NORWICH, CONN. – Leona (Smith) Sherman, 99, died Aug. 10. She was the wife of the late Bernard Sherman. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Finkel) Smith.
She is survived by her daughter Elanah Sherman; granddaughter Baylah Tessier-Sherman; grandson-in-law Bryan Hooper; nieces and nephew Susan Levin, Ada Winsten and Mark Sherman and his wife Jane; and dear friend Maria Disenna.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Ross Adult Day Center, c/o United Community and Family Services, 77 East Town St., Norwich, CT 06360.
