Joan Feldman, 87

DELRAY BEACH, FLA. – Joan P. Feldman died Jan. 17 in Delray Beach. Born in Connecticut, the daughter of the late Helen Goldis, she had lived in Boca Raton since 2002, previously living in Cranston and Pawtucket.

She was an art teacher at Shea High School in Pawtucket for over 20 years, retiring 28 years ago. Joan earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design, and master of arts in teaching degree from Brown University.  She was a member of the Providence Art Club, the Boca Raton Watercolor Society, and the Artist Guild of Boca Raton.  She was an accomplished artist, working as a painter, and watercolorist. 

She was the devoted mother of Donna Feldman of Denver, Colorado, and Linda Solomon and her husband, Marc, of Boca Raton. She was the loving grandmother of Ilana Solomon.
