Ira Bazar, 92

WARWICK, R.I. – Ira Bazar died May 1 at Tamarisk Assisted Living in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Katz) Bazar. Born in Providence, Ira was a son of the late Samuel and Jenny (Bloom) Bazar. He was the owner and president of AS Manufacturing, retiring in 1989. 

Ira was a WWII Navy veteran, serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the former Hebrew Free Loan Association. Ira was an avid boater and fisherman. He was an active member of the East Greenwich Power Squadron. 

He was the devoted father of Joel Bazar and his wife, Randie, and Kenneth Bazar and his wife, Pamela. He was the dear brother of Banice Bazar and his wife, Beverly, the late Meyer Bazar, Martin Bazar and Paul Bazar and Doris Gordon and brother-in-law of June Bazar.  He was the loving grandfather of Justin Bazar and his wife, Meghan, and Lauren Bazar and her fiancé, John Tatum.
