Approximately 9,300 RI households receive rental assistance through the Housing Choice Voucher Program, commonly known as “Section 8.” Yet tenants are often refused housing simply because of their use of this lawful source of income.
Stand with us as we call on our legislators to stop this discriminatory practice and show that every tenant deserves to be considered by a landlord based on their qualifications as a renter, not stereotypes about the source of their income!
