NEW YORK, N.Y. – Erwin Strasmich passed away on February 19 at the Cardinal Cook Rehabilitation Center in Manhattan.

Born in Providence, he attended Hope High School and graduated from Brown University, where he was the president of the track team. He was the vice president of Ross Matthews Corporation in Fall River, where he was also active in real estate. A member of Temple Beth-El in Providence, he was a past president of the Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association. He had lived for the past several years in Manhattan, and is survived by his wife Pauline (Polly) and sons Andrew of New York City and Michael of Costa Rica.
