CRANSTON, R.I. – Carl Lefkowitz died July 22 at All American Assisted Living, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Krasnoff) Lefkowitz for 66 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Myer and Ida (Cooper) Lefkowitz, he had lived in Cranston for 35 years. He was the owner of Ye Colonial Liquor Store, Providence for 10 years, retiring in 2010, previously, the owner of Artic Shoes, West Warwick for 10 years, and the executive secretary of South Providence Hebrew Free Loan Association for 20 years.

Carl was a Korean Conflict Marine veteran, serving in Europe. He was a member and past president of Temple Beth Israel, past board member of Temple Torat Yisrael, member of Touro Fraternal Association, and Redwood Lodge.

He was the devoted father of Jess Lefkowitz of Warwick and Neil Lefkowitz of North Carolina. He was the dear brother of the late Albert Lefkowitz and Sylvia Saltzman. He was the loving grandfather of Kayla, Michael and Sidney.
