Adell (Gross) Fine, 86

PROVIDENCE – Adell (Gross) Fine died January 23. She was the wife of Seymour Fine, Ph.D, for 66 years.  Born in New York City, a daughter of the late Abraham Louis and Flora (Fisher) Gross, she had been a resident of New Jersey and Rhode Island.

A graduate of New York University and the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, she was a school social worker in Upper Saddle River, N.J. for 20 years and then was a psychotherapist in Glen Rock, N.J. before retiring in 2001. She was a member of Temple Emanu-El.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Michael Fine, M.D. and his wife Carol Levitt, M.D., of Scituate, R.I. and Paul Fine and his wife Amy Baker, Ph.D, of Teaneck, N.J.; and her grandchildren Gabriel, Raisa, Alianna and Zoe.  She was the sister of the late Nora Jacobson, Jewel Greenberger and Mervin Gross.
